Match #5 vs Vasilev

Jack continued his terrific play at the ITF Junior World Championships, beating the number two-ranked player in the world, Alexander Vasilev of Bulgaria in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.

Due to the tiebreak rules for this tournament unfortunately Jack did not make it to the semifinal group, but he has now beaten the number 2, 3, and 8 players from the ITF top 10.

Jack’s serve was outstanding in this match and although Vasilev had a number of break points, Jack turned them all away and prevailed with solid play throughout the match.

I’ll keep you posted for the next two matches as Jack looks to have finished the tournament on a high note.
