Match 2 vs. Schoenhaus

After a decisive win in Round 1, Jack faced off against Max Schoenhaus, the #4 seed in this tournament and a tough 18-year-old German player who beat Ben Wilwerth, Jack's US teammate in the first round.

Max opened very strongly, with a great serve and multiple aces, and jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first set. Jack held his serve to make it 3-1, but Max continued to dominate with Jack unable to break, and Max took the first set 6-1.

Jack left the court between sets and played more steadily early in the second, going toe-to-toe to 3-3 and looking like he was beginning to get his groove, but still unable to break. Serving at three-all, Jack lost two points on calls that were at least questionable, leading to a break for Max. Now up the break, Max continued to serve very effectively and closed out the set 6-3 to advance to the final grouping.

The top two in this round advance to the finals, and Jack is currently a close third just behind Roig. Today's matches will determine who advances.

LET'S GO, JACK!
